Modeling School
Jennifer Salgado is paving her way to full recognition
in the fashion industry, all while dealing with medical situations
that will not stop her quest to do what she loves. She started
modeling in Puerto Rico at the age of 5, with the support of her
mother who felt that it would help her with self-esteem, beneficial
for future development. Jennifer didn’t know at the time
that it would be the last thing her parents would ever do with
both passing away two years apart from cancer.
After
the death of her parents she moved to Houston, Texas in 2014 to
live with her aunt and uncle who loved me like a daughter. Jennifers
aunt made a promised to help her continue to model and support
in anyway possible. Later Pedro Abasolo was contacted to
find out if they needed any models for the Univision segment and
was accepted, it was the beginning of her journey. She later on
went on to walk in numerous runway shows from Houston, Texas to
Puerto Rico, her home. She has been cast in commercials and does
parts on television. She gives the glory to God for what she has
achieved so far and looking forward to moving forward with gigs
in New York and California.
In
the Year 2016 she was diagnosed with Von Willebrand disease, stage
2, that is a condition of a blood disorder and later diagnosed
with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome which is a rare syndrome that some doctors
don’t know much about. But though it all, she knows it’s
her faith and belief that keeps her moving forward in life.

would like to invite everyone to learn more about Von Willebrand
disease and Li-Fraumeni syndrome and to support the effort to
find a cure.
