The prestigous 2nd Annual Zydeo & Blues Awards Show took place on Sunday, December 27, 2015 in the Lone Star State of Houston, Texas. The event gave special tribute to the legendaries B.B. King & Mel Waiters, honors and awards were given to those that have made a strong impact in the music and trailriding industry. The line up of live performance from the industry made the event one of desire for those that love both zydeco and blues music and lifestyle. It was a time for the glitz and glam to be seen on the red carpet with that down home feeling of family, friends and new comers with host Ms. Pinky and Jazzie Redd.

Performing live was CUPID, Brian Jack and The Zydeco Gamblers, special tribute to B.B. King was done by Rara and Company, Jeter Jones, Lil Nate and The Zydeco Big Tymers, Lady Soul, Marcus Ardoin, Big Cynthia and Big Pokey and Coldrank.

The Lifetime Acheivement Blues Award - MEL Waiters, The Lifetime Achievement Zydeco Award - Nathan Williams, Sr., The Ultimate Entertainer Award - CUPID, The Buckwheat Award - Step Rideau, The Female Blues Living Legend Award - Trudy Lynn, The Legend Award - CJ Chenier, The Milstone Award - Chris Ardoin, The Zydeco Award - J. Paul, Jr., The Icon Blues Award - Rue Davis, The Excellence of Leadership Award - Mr. Henry "T-90 Davidson, The Renegade Award - Theodis Ealey.

A special thanks to Misha Horton, CEO of the ZBT Awards for creating an event to show respect to the music industry and the trailriders, plus also giving Houston, Texas the honors of hosting the 2nd annual grand event.
